Good & Roberts acquired by Pasadena builder

Good & Roberts, a mid-sized construction company based in Vista, was acquired by a Pasadena firm this week.

Good & Roberts has been in business for 34 years and will now operate as a subsidiary of C.W. Driver, allowing the Pasadena-based builder with offices in San Diego to expand its current market share here.

The price and specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.

C.W. Driver, whose clients include Qualcomm, University of California, San Diego, Bloomingdale’s, SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo, opened its San Diego office in 2006 and this year projects its revenues will top $120 million.

Good & Roberts, founded by Jack Good and Stan Roberts in 1979, currently has approximately 60 employees and specializes in aerospace, defense, technology, life sciences and complex tenant improvements.

Daily operations and project approach of Good & Roberts will remain unchanged and involve a gradual shift in management, C.W. Driver said.

Jack Good will remain with the company in his current capacity for the next five years. Joe Grosshart will assume the day to day management as president of Good & Roberts.

After the management transition, Robb Good, who has served as the president of Good & Roberts for the last 3 years, will oversee technology advancements at C.W. Driver and its subsidiaries.
